A real wood-fired banya — steam, hot stones, and the ritual venik — rented by the hour or the day and delivered to your driveway, backyard, or event.
Backyard, lake house, race finish line, wedding, or a Tuesday when you just need to reset. If we can park it, we can heat it.
Best for small groups, first-timers, and anyone who wants to try a proper banya without committing a whole day.
Best for parties, retreats, run clubs, cold-plunge crews, and events where people drift in and out all afternoon.
Ready for something permanent? Beyond the mobile rental, we design and build saunas that stay put — inside your home or out in the yard. Built from scratch to your space, or delivered as a proven prefab.
Designed around your space, your wood, your heat source, and exactly how you want to use it. A one-of-a-kind sauna, built on-site to fit.
Proven, ready-to-go models installed faster and for less. A great path if you want the banya experience without a full custom project.
The soundtrack we run the heat to — steam, stone, and a stack of tracks. Hit play and settle in.
The full cycle: climb to temperature, get worked over with a leafy venik, then hit the cold. Repeat until your brain goes quiet.
The venik is what separates a banya from a sauna — a leafy bundle you soak, warm over the stones, and use to work heat and aroma into the skin. We bind our own from oak, birch, eucalyptus, and hazelnut, then soak them until the leaves go soft and fragrant.
Every bundle is tied by hand and wrapped at the handle with twine. Available with any rental, or on their own for your own setup.
Oak for the sturdy, aromatic slap. Eucalyptus for the breath. Birch for tradition.
Home base is New Jersey. From there we run the sauna up and down the Northeast — from the Jersey Shore to the White Mountains.
Travel beyond a certain distance from New Jersey may carry a delivery fee — send your location and dates and we'll tell you straight.
We're your guides to the history and the real benefits of Eastern European bathhouse culture. Rooted in old-world tradition, we bring the authentic banya — venik and all — right to you.
While the term is most famously tied to Russia, the culture spans Eastern Europe, each country with its own variation. The word likely traces to the Latin balneum, "bath," and it's been part of Slavic identity since at least the 10th century.
Unlike the Finnish sauna's dry heat, the banya is defined by what happens inside it.
The rest of what we do — keeping saunas running, throwing a proper banya, and binding veniks the traditional way.
Heater swaps, bench work, ventilation, full restorations of existing saunas.
Gatherings with music, food, and great vibes. We handle the heat, you handle the guest list.
Hand-bound oak, birch, eucalyptus, and hazelnut veniks and sauna fans, made the traditional way.
Wood-fired or electric, indoor or out — we'll help you plan before you spend.
We're driven to help more people feel the banya, enjoy the benefits, and slow all the way down.
Banya PhD started with a simple thesis: everyone deserves more heat, better steam, and a proper cooldown. We're a little obsessed with the craft of it — the fire, the stones, the venik, the plunge.
Thermal philosophy, delivered to your driveway.
